Design Transforms is a lecture series from the Product, Ceramic and Industrial Design programme at Central Saint Martins, where expert practitioners are invited to share their thoughts on the idea of transformation examined through the lens of their work.
Sara Howard is an award-winning British designer, material innovator, and author, pioneering circular and regenerative systems within the ceramics industry and beyond.
Her self-published book, Circular Ceramics, documents her industrial symbiosis model for ceramics. And in 2022, Sara founded Crafting Coral, a non-profit organisation that regenerates coral reefs through ceramics and community engagement.
She also co-founded Golden Earth Studio to bridge the gap between artists and the construction industry, transforming reclaimed materials into artworks and reintroducing them into homes through the Golden Earth Gallery.
